Meadowbrook Farm is almost too pretty to be a working farm; your guests will instantly fall in love with its idyllic setting. Located in the small Oxfordshire hamlet of Moreton, just 1 mile from the market town of Thame. This 350 acre arable and livestock farm offers a fantastic party and wedding site. In your own secluded spot, set amongst willow trees, a pond and log cabin, it is hard to think you are minutes away from junction 7, off the M40. Meadowbrook has 3 self-catering holiday cottages, sleeping up to 13 and further accommodation is available under canvas in luxury bell tents in the Spinney.
Through the courtyard and up a short farm track is a beautiful pastoral setting, a decorative pond with a weeping willow tree that sits on a small island surrounded by lily pads and happy farm ducks.
Guests can drive up to the wedding site and have a choice of where to leave their vehicles, the Spinney (field to the left of the Wedding Site) or the Cuckoo’s Nest, (field over a small brook) guests walk over a charming wooden bridge into the marquee or if you prefer the drinks reception lawn then with their marquee across the other side of the pond.
There are two separate lawn areas for you to choose where you would like your drinks reception and marquee placed. The rustic log cabin makes a brilliantly quirky space for an evening bar or chill out area. Create a cosy atmosphere in the log cabin when the sun has gone down with its wood burner, the decking /jetty looks beautiful at night with some creative lighting on the trees and onto the water. What we love most about Meadowbrook is its versatility, a true blank canvas for people to add their own personal touch to their once in a lifetime event. With no red tape around noise restrictions, entertainment and fireworks are permitted.
The Old Parlour is a great space to use in the lead up to your event or as a green room on the day. This large barn style event space is located in the courtyard next door to the main farmhouse and the self-catering cottages, with exposed beams, farming memorabilia on the walls, a wood burner and corner bar. Often used for private dining or small parties, it has its own onsite kitchen and separate toilets. You can also hire the Old Parlour independently for events such as birthday parties, funerals and business meetings.
For larger parties over 50, a marquee can be attached to the Old Parlour and would take up the farm courtyard. (Available to hire on this basis in the Autumn & Winter) Planning a party at Meadowbrook offers a perfect location to escape and unwind and a beautiful setting for your marquee and reception.
